MY STORY

I'm a theatre Director with the quest of bringing theatre to communities that are not exposed to it. Born and raised in Cuba, I found comfort in the theatre when I first moved to Houston, Texas in 2011. Theatre helped me learn a new language and become aquatinted with a foreign world. It changed my life and gave me the confidence to take over the world. Now, I want to share the gift of theatre with others that have never been exposed to it . I'm on a mission to create worlds where representation is given to those that are often left out of the narrative. Theatre is a privilege that I work to turn into a birth right for every community. From plays to musicals, I'm constantly searching for stories that reflect America today.
I received my BA in Directing from the Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University. In the past couple of years I've had the pleasure of working professionally at The Repertory Theatre of STL, Great River Shakespeare Festival, Theatre Under The Stars, COCA, among others. I've assisted great directors like Dan Knechtges, Stafford Arima, Melissa Rain Anderson, Jess Shoemaker, Beth Gardiner, Bryan Hunt, Doug Finlayson, and Seth Gordon. I'm forever grateful to them and many more mentors that have taught me so much throughout my career. I hope to follow their footsteps and look forward to future collaborations with more wonderful artists.
